General observations:

  • At families of displaced Serbs (37) covered with this research the feeling of fear related to possibility for closing down the collective center Argentaria is dominated. At the same time these families do not want to go back to their pre-war homes in Federation of BH.
  • The questioned are overwhelmed with feeling of neglect and complete ignorance of wider community for their problem.
  • Incomes are very low, occasional and insecure. Survival is ensured by relatives living abroad.
  • Disabled persons (7 paraplegia) live in collective center in completely unjustified conditions regarding their disabilities.
  • Mental health patients that are living in collective center do not have any care from community. They live without any possibility for provision of health care having in mind there is no psychiatrist or psychologist at local Health Ambulance in Srebrenica. These people are burdened with created stereotypes by wider society what also influences on bad relations among inhabitants of collective center. At the same time the created stereotypes influences of bad health status of patients.

The couples that were completing survey were multi-ethnic and during the research there were no registered incidents or refusal of cooperation.
